Persate Labs
Tenant-specific, versioned research tools assigned to workspace groups.
Persate Labs contains specialized data workbenches enabled for selected organizations and groups. Labs are not a universal product catalogue: two users in the same organization can see different tools when their group assignments differ.
Access requirements
A lab appears only when all of the following are true:
- Labs is enabled for the organization;
- the user belongs to a group assigned to that lab;
- all prerequisite features are enabled;
- a reviewed release is available;
- the installed Persate client can render that lab package.
The LABS sidebar section is absent when there are no usable assignments. The catalogue page displays Your group has no labs assigned right now when access exists but the current group has no assigned tool.
Versioned data
Each lab opens a reviewed release. The release is immutable: reviewers can promote or reject new web findings, but those decisions take effect in a later release rather than silently changing the open dataset.
Status labels distinguish the review state of a relationship or finding:
- Verified — supported by reviewed evidence;
- Probable — plausible but not fully verified;
- Unresolved — not resolved by the reviewed material.
Live web findings are explicitly unreviewed. They must not be presented as part of the reviewed release until promoted through the lab workflow.
Lab Advisor
Some labs include a Lab Advisor. It is separate from the main Advisor and carries the current lab view into a new conversation. The panel is resizable on wider screens and opens as an overlay on narrow screens.
Lab Advisor access requires both the lab assignment and Advisor access. Conversations belong to the current user. A running turn can be stopped, and use is subject to the workspace allowance.
Failure states
- Lab not assigned — the user's groups do not have this lab.
- Prerequisite not entitled — a feature required by the lab is not enabled.
- No reviewed release — access is valid, but the lab has no publishable dataset yet.
- Data unavailable — the reviewed release could not be loaded. Retry without changing review state.
- Unknown lab — the link is obsolete or the client cannot render the assigned package.
