Creating an account

Registration via email and password, or single sign-on with Google or Microsoft.

Account registration is available through two methods. To begin, navigate to persate.com and select Sign up.

Method A — email and password

The registration form requires the following information:

  • Email address. A verification link is sent to this address; it must therefore be accessible at the time of registration.
  • Password. A minimum of eight characters, including at least one digit and at least one special character (such as !, @, #, or ?). The form indicates in real time which requirements have not yet been satisfied.
  • Password confirmation. The same password, entered a second time.
  • Acknowledgements. The Privacy Policy and Terms of Service checkboxes must both be selected.

Once the form is submitted, the application displays a confirmation that, if verification is required, a link will arrive shortly, with a reminder to sign in or reset the password if an account already exists. The verification email contains a link that, when opened, completes the registration.

Verification email not received

The message may have been delivered to a spam folder. If it is still absent after several minutes, the address has likely been mistyped — the registration form deliberately does not disclose whether an address is already in use, in order to protect existing accounts.

Method B — single sign-on (Google or Microsoft)

In place of completing the registration form, select Continue using Google Account or Continue using Microsoft Account. After choosing the relevant account in the provider's dialogue and approving the requested permissions, the registration is complete.

Single sign-on combines registration and sign-in into a single action; no separate "sign up" step is required for subsequent visits. An account is created automatically on first use.

Subsequent step

Once the email address has been verified (or, in the case of single sign-on, once the provider's dialogue has been confirmed), the account is active. The next sign-in will prompt for two-factor authentication setup.

Next: configure two-factor authentication
