First sign-in
The authentication procedure and interface orientation after gaining access to the Cockpit.
Sign-in takes place on the persate.com homepage by selecting Sign in.
Sign-in process
Authentication requires completing two steps:
- Enter the email address and select Continue.
- Enter the password and select Sign In.
Once valid credentials are provided, the platform directs the user to two-factor authentication (2FA). This flow applies to every password sign-in:
- An account with an already configured factor proceeds to the Two-Factor Authentication screen, where the six-digit code from the authenticator app must be entered.
- An account without a configured factor is taken to the Set Up Authenticator screen — it displays a QR code (along with a key to enter manually) and requires a one-time confirmation with a code to complete the configuration.
When signing in with a Google or Microsoft account, simply select Continue using Google Account (or Microsoft).
Password reset
The sign-in screen does not contain a "Forgot password" link. A password reset is started by navigating directly to persate.com/password-reset — the address must be known. After the email address is entered, the system always displays the same neutral message about a link possibly being sent (without revealing whether the account exists). Changing the password is also possible after signing in, in the Settings section.
Startup navigation
After signing in successfully, the default view is the Cockpit. The key interface elements are:
- Sidebar — the main navigation menu on the left side.
- Upload — the button that opens the document upload panel.
- Search — the magnifying glass icon that launches the global search.
Error states
- "Login Failed" with the description "Invalid credentials provided" — incorrect email address or password.
- "Verification Failed" with the description "Invalid code. Please try again" — the code entered from the authenticator app is not correct.
- "OAuth Error" — signing in with a Google or Microsoft account failed.
